Hey everyone! It’s me, Jaena from the blog writing group! Today I am going to be sharing a 2020 Black Friday guide with some essentials you may want to get this year, or even add to your holiday wishlist! Just a disclaimer, everyone likes and prefers buying different things, these are just some things I would recommend this year :) This post will be broken up into 3 different categories, with items inside of each one. There are also going to be some small businesses you can support this season at the end of this post!
Starting off with the first category, clothing. So many stores have great sales during Black Friday, but here is a list of some types of clothing you could buy!
The next category is shoes. Many shoe stores have great deals, so if there is any pair you have been eyeing for a while, I would recommend getting or asking for them now!
Some stores that have great deals are:
To be honest, for the last category I couldn’t think of one good name so I came up with the idea of “Business Deals”! I am just going to make a quick list of some smaller or bigger businesses I know will be great for this Black Friday:
Leave a comment down below with any other businesses you know have great deals during Black Friday so we can all help each other out!
That is it for this blog post, and I hope you all enjoyed it! I had a lot of fun writing this because it kind of reminds me of a brochure or a guide, and I love it haha! Hopefully if you didn’t find anything to buy, you can still check out some of the businesses mentioned and maybe get some gift ideas to give others. Or even to ask for, for yourself! That is it, and I will see you all in the next post. Stay safe, and happy early holidays!
Hey guys I’m Emma and today’s blog post will be about the best Fall-themed deserts. If you are as crazy as me and go all out for fall, this blog post is for you!
Pumpkins, Sweaters, and orange leaves are fall but let me help you have an even better autumn experience! Here are my top 3 favorite fall desserts...
1. Pumpkin Pie
I love pumpkin pie at any time of the year. It could be winter, spring, or summer and I could still be eating pumpkin pie! My family has our own unique pumpkin pie recipe that makes it even more special. And of course, we always make more than one because we always eat it in less than 5 minutes haha. Some of my fav pumpkin pie recipes are Simply recipes or Sallys Baking Addiction.
2. Pumpkin Bread
As you might have noticed, I’m obsessed with pumpkins. But pumpkin bread. Once I have it I can’t stop. It's a pretty bad addiction. Pumpkin bread is made in so many ways but a recipe that’s my favorite is Food Networks. So I highly recommend you try it out!
3. Pumpkin Cupcakes
I not only love pumpkin cupcakes but I love making them. It’s like doing chemistry, but in your kitchen. If I had either to have soda for the rest of my life or Pumpkin cupcakes, I would for sure choose pumpkin cupcakes. My favorite pumpkin cupcake recipe is Live Well Bake Often.
Are you drooling? Me too haha. If you enjoyed this blog post make sure to leave a comment, with your favorite one! Read more fun blog posts here. My Instagram is @emma.sektiaji. Thank you for reading and I hoped you got some yummy warm fall vibes!
Hey everybody! It’s Laura and I’m back with another blog post! So I know that many of you either have a small business or want to start one. So today I am going to be talking all about the basics of starting a business! One thing that people might not know about me is that I’ve actually owned two businesses. The first one being a slime shop in 6th grade and the second one being Slice of Summer which I currently still own! After starting both businesses I definitely have gotten the basic idea of starting one. There are so many important things that many people tend to skip over when opening a shop and it causes their business to not be successful as it could be. So I hope that today's blog post will be helpful to all of you!
1. Pick your shop name
Picking your shop name might seem like an obvious thing to do but it is very important! You want to make sure it represents your shop completely and that it's something original. Your shop name will be on your logo and basically your whole shop. When people think of your shop they will think of your shop name so make sure it is something you like and wouldn't want to change. It's ok if it takes a while to think of a good shop name because in the end it will be worth it!
2. Pick your shop aesthetic ( brand your shop )
After you find your shop name you want to go ahead and brand your shop. You want to pick who you're going to be targeting, what your shop colors/aesthetic will be and just basically how to represent your brand in everything you do. You want to make your shop appealing to your target. For example, if you're targeting teenage girls who enjoy arts and crafts and bright colors, make sure your colors and products are something that they would like.
3. Buy/make a logo
Just like your shop name, a logo is very important. It’s basically the face of your brand. You want to make sure that your logo matches your shop aesthetic and represents your shop well. If you don't want to create your own logo or don't know how to, there are plenty of people who can do it for you! Ximena did my logo and she was so awesome at seeing what I wanted and transferring it into the logo! If you are looking for someone to do your logo or just anything for your shop (business cards, instagram covers, etsy banner ex.) I would 10/10 recommend Ximena! You can look at her services here!
4. Create your shop and your social medias
Now that you have your logo and shop name it's time to create your website! There are many places where you can do this! If you don't want to spend a lot of money on a website yet I would recommend etsy! It's a million times cheaper than starting a website ( I think an etsy is only 20 cents for every item you have and little costs like that! ) and it's very easy to make! The reason you should make your shop and social media very soon in the process is because you don't want anyone taking your name and by making the accounts early it kind of secures your name as yours! You definitely don't have to post anything/ upload listings yet but just having them made is very helpful.
5. Choose what you will be selling
Now it's time to create your shop! You should have an idea of what you will be selling but now it's time to pick what colors, supplies, names you will need for each product! For example if you're selling tie dye shirts you need to know what colors for each shirt, how much each one will cost and all that jazz!
6. Order your supplies
Obviously you won't be able to start a shop without any supplies so the next step is to order some! Here's a basic list of what you may need!
7. Make your products
Now you need to create your stock! Its best to ( if you can ) make everything in bulk that way when you get an order all you have to do is package it up!
8. Take pictures of your products + upload them to your shop!
Congratulations it's finally time to open your shop! Make sure to get well quality photos that will attract customers! You can definitely use your phone or tablet for photos but make sure the lightning is good and that the background is clean! Once you have your shop open, it's time to share it with the world! So go ahead and tell your friends and family and post all about it!
So that was it for today's blog post! I really hope it was helpful to you guys! I wish you all the best with your businesses and I will see you next time!
Hey guys! My name is Izzy and I am part of the creative blog team! This is a bit of a different post than we usually do. But I hope you enjoy this poem I have written about Gravity!
Oh Gravity oh Gravity the silly thing
It makes the birds spread a wing
Don’t think of it as thing
Cause it can happen in the spring
Gravity can help you out
It’ll keep you on the ground without a doubt
Because as soon as you step out
Without gravity you’d have to shout
You’d be flying in outer space
Without gravity there would be no base
It won’t be fun in outer space
With Gravity you will stay in place
At 22 Newton discovered the fact
That Gravity was not an act
He was also named knighthood, but that’s beside the fact
That Newton was very exact
People can take gravity one of two ways
Literally, like the the true meaning of “gaze”
Or metaphorically like seeing things in different ways
But Gravity will always have praise
Have you ever wondered why you can’t fly
Or why your tears go down when you cry
Maybe you tried to fly
And that idea was worth a try
Many people have tried
But Gravity defied
It would boost your pride if you tried
Because we all need a guide
Gravity is a silly thing
But it helps to bring
The joy to everything
Oh gravity oh gravity the silly thing
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed this poem!
Hey, welcome to my very first blog post on the ximenadesigns blog! My name is Emma and I hope you're all doing well. Today I’ll be writing about my favorite note-taking supplies. And if you have a bad addiction to collecting pens and stationary like me, this blog post is for you...
Hey everyone! It's Chloe from the Blog Team! So you're struggling with style and don’t know what to do about it. Well here’s one tip: don't just go shopping and add things to your cart that you like, there’s way more to it than that...
Step One: Lifestyle
The type of life you live and where you live can affect your style in many ways. Let’s say you're just a regular person and it’s summer you don’t have a job and you like to go out a lot, if this is you, you might want to try a casual style or something that fits your life better.
Step Two: Find Inspiration
My favorite way to find inspiration is through Pinterest, it has all the styles imaginable! Pay attention when finding inspiration because skin tone and body type can make things look different than they really are, not everything that a fashion model or influencer wears will look the same on all body types.
Step Three: SHOP!
But be careful don’t go overboard. Start with a couple base outfits and from there just keep adding on and soon enough you will have a closet full of clothes that you love. When shopping at first, you want to buy basics, basics are just plain black and white shirts, crop tops, tank tops, and cami’s these are shirts you can pair with any and everything without your outfit looking tacky. After you buy your basics you can buy your essentials. Essentials are the opposite of basics. Basics are unique and fit your style only. When styling an essential try to stick with one essential per outfit because if you add to many essentials your outfit starts to look tacky.
Step Four: Styling
Honestly this could be the hardest part but here is an easy method to help you learn to style outfits. This idea is actually Coco Chinelo’s on YouTube. Basically you want to try and find one of the outfits from your inspiration and try to copy it EXACTLY or as close as possible and then once you've done that switch out one item from that outfit. That can be the shirt the pants or even the sneakers! This will help because it will ease you into styling clothes.
Step Five: Style of the Outfit
There are four main types of outfits: the tight-tight fit, the loose-loose fit, the loose-tight fit and the tight-loose fit. I know it sounds like a lot but let me break it down. First, the tight-tight fit contains a tight shirt with tight pants. A loose loose fit is a loose top with loose bottoms, do you see where i'm going here? My personal favorite outfit is a tight loose fit, a tight shirt with loose bottoms. This outfit of a girl with a black top, would be more of a tight loose fit, and this one at the bottom would be a loose tight fit!
That's a wrap on these tips for helping you guys on your journey to finding your style! This blog post was heavily inspired by Coco Chinelo. I hope you guys enjoyed my first ever blog post, I had lots of fun writing it. :) If you need inspiration i have a board on my pinterest with lots of outfit ideas. See you guys soon!

Hey everyone, this is Izzy from the Blog Creative Team!
Like myself and many other teens are either in school full time, or have a part time job. So balancing a YouTube channel with that can be very difficult. Don’t worry, I am here to give you 4 easy steps to help you balance your youtube channel and your school work.
**First off I just wanted to mention that school work always comes first over your youtube channel. So please make sure you are recognizing the importance of each task!
1. Make a schedule
It might seem lame, but you need to figure out when you'll have time to film and edit between work/school. Depending on your hobby, sports and school you might also have homework to factor in. While you're doing this you might also want to consider your social circles, family, and other hobbies.
2. Follow through
You have to actually follow the schedule you've made. Maybe in your schedule every Sunday you film 4 videos to upload throughout the next few weeks. Then you edit after work/school. You need to follow the schedule you create for yourself!
3. Find your rhythm
Play with your schedule until you find a pattern that works best for you. For me I have school every day from 7:20 until 2:30, so Saturday I film and plan out my schedule for the upcoming weeks, Sunday I record any last minute clips, Then I edit throughout the week whenever I have time. So I highly suggest experimenting with different schedules until you find one that really works for you.
4. Be Flexible
Now that you have your schedule and you're following it, know that you are allowed to make changes. Your schedule isn't a MUST DO, it's a guideline so you can complete all the tasks you have ahead of you.
If you miss an upload, don't bully yourself about it, next time create a few back up videos. Don't turn down a great opportunity because it doesn't follow your schedule.
Many other teens are in school full time, or have a part time job. Balancing a YouTube channel has just become some much easier. Teens like you who have implemented these 4 simple tips have seen drastic changes in their performance in both school, and Youtube!
