First off, I just wanted to let you know that if you aren’t feeling yourself it's TOTALLY okay!!! Our bodies and minds aren't meant to go 110% all the time! Be gentle and kind with your body and mind!
Now onto how to get yourself motivated again! Feeling unmotivated is upsetting and discouraging. Something I love to remember is that you can change your life in a snap. If you are wanting to delete social media or make a huge decision, YOU CAN!!!
Here are some things that I love doing and totally recommend for you to do, when you are feeling unmotivated.
Have a self care day! Self care is so important and when we aren't feeling motivated we tend to not take care of ourselves as much. By taking the time to go through your self care routine it allows you to ease your mind and focus on something positive.
Make a plan for something that excites you! Making plans allows you to look forward to the future and get excited! An example of this is planning a future trip or organizing your week! Thinking ahead also allows you to focus on what you have to look forward to in the future.
Try something new! Trying new things like getting up early and watching the sun rise or making a new craft helps us to feel alive and energized.
Do something that makes you feel important and valued. Doing things that make us feel important and valued helps bring up our overall self esteem and self confidence! An example is going and volunteering at a local animal shelter or starting a socially distanced conversation with your neighbors, on a walk.
Dress up for yourself! Dressing up and making yourself feel special is such a confident boost! Have a fashion show in front of your mirror and play some of your favorite songs!
