How to build a successful lifestyle!

ahhh hello guys! In case you may have missed my introduction my name is Haylee, I’m 16 years old, and I’m from Virginia. Writing has always been something I loved doing so when Ximena opened up her blog applications I just knew I had to apply!

​I decided that since this is my first post and the new year is finally upon us I wanted to dedicate my first post to 2021! No doubt 2020 was rough, actually it was extremely rough, but there’s no time for feeling sorry for yourself anymore and we have to work hard at our goals to make sure our future is even better! So, without any further ado, I bring to you “Steps to Build a Successful Lifestyle” <3

1. Develop a Daily Routine

One thing I’ve learned in just about every aspect of life is that if you don’t go into something with a set plan it’s much easier to mess up. By building a daily routine, whether it be the steps you go through to get ready in the morning, or your night time rituals, you are more likely to take time for yourself and feel like your life is more out together. This also leaves you with better time management throughout the day because you know just about how long it takes you to get everything done. When you go through life with a daily routine it is much easier to make time for yourself which leads to my second step.

2. Make Time For Yourself

While this may seem minor, it is crucial to make sure you have time to enjoy the things you like rather than worrying about making other people happy. Somewhere in your daily routine make time to do the things you enjoy. After all, you only get one shot at life so you might as well use it being happy!

3. Take Care of Your Mental & Physical Health

This step varies between everyone because each person needs different things to keep them healthy. A few things I’ve been doing to take care of myself is drinking at least gallon of water everyday and turning off my phone sooner before I go to bed, (no matter how good the tik toks are ;)), and getting my body moving and heart rate up for at least 30 minutes a day. I’m not going to lie, these things are much easier said than done, however once you begin doing them it gets easier and you can tell a huge difference!

4. Make Goals for Yourself

Goals are so so so so so important to making sure you are happy with your life. Goals give you short term motivation and long term vision. Goals help you better balance and focus your time on the things that matter most to you and make you more likely to achieve the things you don’t think are possible. Starting off by setting short term goals and slowly moving up to long term goals help you realize how easy things are to accomplish if you work towards it.

5. Keep Track of Your Life

How you do this is completely up to you whether you type it out in your notes app or keep a detailed journal, any way is beneficial. I like to write down important things that I’ve done everyday and at the end of the month writing down some of the bigger accomplishments. This is so motivating to look back on because you notice things you may not have while it was taking place. For example, when I started my business I wrote down when I would release a new item, make a sell, or hit a milestone. Now when I look back at these notes I realize how every minor thing adds up to be something major at the end of a time period. This motivates me to keep working hard and do at least one productive thing each day to ensure my long term goals are met. Also if you aren’t very big on writing stuff down, definitely get a cute notepad or notebook! Ximena has some adorable ones on her shop and there’s also many other small businesses who sell them as well
