First off, I just wanted to let you know that if you aren’t feeling yourself it's TOTALLY okay!!! Our bodies and minds aren't meant to go 110% all the time! Be gentle and kind with your body and mind!
Now onto how to get yourself motivated again! Feeling unmotivated is upsetting and discouraging. Something I love to remember is that you can change your life in a snap. If you are wanting to delete social media or make a huge decision, YOU CAN!!!
Here are some things that I love doing and totally recommend for you to do, when you are feeling unmotivated.
Have a self care day! Self care is so important and when we aren't feeling motivated we tend to not take care of ourselves as much. By taking the time to go through your self care routine it allows you to ease your mind and focus on something positive.
Make a plan for something that excites you! Making plans allows you to look forward to the future and get excited! An example of this is planning a future trip or organizing your week! Thinking ahead also allows you to focus on what you have to look forward to in the future.
Try something new! Trying new things like getting up early and watching the sun rise or making a new craft helps us to feel alive and energized.
Do something that makes you feel important and valued. Doing things that make us feel important and valued helps bring up our overall self esteem and self confidence! An example is going and volunteering at a local animal shelter or starting a socially distanced conversation with your neighbors, on a walk.
Dress up for yourself! Dressing up and making yourself feel special is such a confident boost! Have a fashion show in front of your mirror and play some of your favorite songs!
I hope that you found something to try and bring back the motivation! Have a great rest of your day and remember that you are the driver of your life and not just the passenger! (:
Habits are very important in your life. If you are wanting to be successful or if you are passionate and want to do the best you can in life, habits are so important! It takes 21 days to effectively hold a habit.
Some habits you might already be using can be eating breakfast, brushing your teeth, or making your bed. Habits can also become bad too. Beneficial habits can be the smallest things that make the biggest changes!
To have successful habits you need to first come up with things you can work on to better your life or things you are wanting to change. An example could be, if you are not getting a lot of exercises you could start a habit, where you are going on walks every day in your neighborhood or do a challenge to help you reach your goal!
Sometimes with habits, you dream and get excited but when it gets hard you stop and you quit. If you want to achieve your dreams you need to keep pushing through!
Also, I think it's important to align your habits with your goals. An example of aligning a habit with a goal, is if your goal is to be a great calligraphist and you don't know how to do calligraphy yet, then start a habit of spending 15 minutes each day to devote to calligraphy!
If you are interested in learning more I would highly recommend reading the book, “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”. I hope this helped you incorporate some beneficial habits in your life and I can't wait to see all that you do! Comment some habits you want to start incorporating in your life!
