Hey everyone! It’s selah :)
Today, I am going to be talking about forgiveness. The textbook definition of forgiveness is to stop feeling angry or resentful toward someone. We often think that this is about forgiving others. Although this is so so important, forgiving yourself is super important too.
I have been struggling with forgiving myself. We make mistakes and think “I can’t believe I did this AGAIN” or “Why am I like this?”. There doesn’t seem to be a way to get out of the constant cycle of disappointing ourselves. How will I get out of this?
First, I will start off by saying, we ALL make mistakes. Some are small, like texting a wrong letter, or it can be big, like saying something rude to someone who needs encouragement. Everyone makes mistakes. No one is perfect, and because Jesus already died for our sins, past, present, and future, on the cross, we don’t have to be worried that Jesus is disappointed in us.
It is important to acknowledge our mistakes and pay attention to how to fix it, but it is also important to move on. If we dwell on our mistakes and are always thinking about them, we can’t move on.
If your best friend or significant other made a mistake and you never forgave them, it would be hard to stay on good terms with them. The same thing happens when you don’t forgive yourself! Your mental health will deteriorate and you will not be able to move on.
Give yourself grace. Sometimes, it takes a while to get out of a bad habit. Take it one step at a time. Little improvement is better than none. You can do this and I am proud of you already!
You are loved!
Hey there! it's Haylee from the blog team! It’s no doubt that 2020-21 have been hard on all of us. With all of the bad, negative news, and uncertainty of what is going to happen next, it is super easy to get discouraged and sad. So for today’s blog post, I wanted to create something that leaves you with nothing but good vibes, happiness, and a positive outlook on the future.
For my first little “dose of happiness” I’ve created this short little list of things that make me happy to think about when I’m feeling sad and that cheer me up when I'm surrounded by negativity.
Throughout this whole “Covid-19 journey” we’ve all been on, I have noticed that people are also becoming more quiet, reserved, and almost scared to talk to others because of fear of how the other person may react, but instead of continuing this trend, I think it is the perfect time to spread happiness to others, because we need it now more than ever. So, next up, here's a few of my favorite compliments I’ve ever received that I’ve never forgot about, so maybe you can use them to cheer up others!
Lastly, If none of these previous lists have helped you very much, here are a few of my favorite Bible verses to remind me that better things are coming and to never lose faith.
Hope you guys enjoyed, see you guys soon! Comment down below your favorite things from this list!
Hey there! It's Alana from the blog team and @lanesmasks
First off, I just wanted to let you know that if you aren’t feeling yourself it's TOTALLY okay!!! Our bodies and minds aren't meant to go 110% all the time! Be gentle and kind with your body and mind!
Now onto how to get yourself motivated again! Feeling unmotivated is upsetting and discouraging. Something I love to remember is that you can change your life in a snap. If you are wanting to delete social media or make a huge decision, YOU CAN!!!
Here are some things that I love doing and totally recommend for you to do, when you are feeling unmotivated.
I hope that you found something to try and bring back the motivation! Have a great rest of your day and remember that you are the driver of your life and not just the passenger! (:
hey everybody! it’s Selah back again with another blog! this week’s post is about trust.
we always find comfort in what we can control. it’s the natural human thing to do! we want to know when, where, why, and how something is going to happen. a lot of times, that’s why worry is such a huge part of our lives.
I don’t know about you, but i like to plan things to a T. I always have a schedule or a plan or a picture in my head of how something is going to go. although we want it to go our way, we’ve all experienced times when it hasn’t.
there are so many times when I have planned something a certain way, but it went much worse than expected. I have also planned something, and it goes much better than expected.
the truth is, no matter what we want to happen, we can’t control what happens to us. thankfully, the One who controls everything loves us SO MUCH that He gave His Son to die on the cross for our sins.
we can’t make a plan for our life and expect everything to go our way. we CAN trust in our Heavenly Father, who has every aspect of our lives planned out in an amazing way that we can’t even comprehend.
I’ve always struggled with trust. It’s always been hard for me to let go and just trust that God has a plan for me. I wish that He could show us the plan for our lives, but we wouldn’t be able to understand it. there’s also an amazing aspect of not knowing that most people don’t recognize. our entire lives are an incredible present that is just waiting to be opened. if we knew everything about our lives, nothing would be a surprise!
allow God to lead you where He wants you to go. At the end of the day, He is the one who knows best.

Hey guys! It's Alana from the blog team!
Habits are very important in your life. If you are wanting to be successful or if you are passionate and want to do the best you can in life, habits are so important! It takes 21 days to effectively hold a habit.
Some habits you might already be using can be eating breakfast, brushing your teeth, or making your bed. Habits can also become bad too. Beneficial habits can be the smallest things that make the biggest changes!
To have successful habits you need to first come up with things you can work on to better your life or things you are wanting to change. An example could be, if you are not getting a lot of exercises you could start a habit, where you are going on walks every day in your neighborhood or do a challenge to help you reach your goal!
Sometimes with habits, you dream and get excited but when it gets hard you stop and you quit. If you want to achieve your dreams you need to keep pushing through!
Also, I think it's important to align your habits with your goals. An example of aligning a habit with a goal, is if your goal is to be a great calligraphist and you don't know how to do calligraphy yet, then start a habit of spending 15 minutes each day to devote to calligraphy!
If you are interested in learning more I would highly recommend reading the book, “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”. I hope this helped you incorporate some beneficial habits in your life and I can't wait to see all that you do! Comment some habits you want to start incorporating in your life!
hey guys it's selah here from the blog team :)I’m sure you’ve heard people say so many things like “You only live once!” or “Live your life to the fullest!”. Even though this makes sense, it is hard to apply it to your life. I think most people would agree that going through the same old same old every day for the rest of your life sounds a little boring. Since it’s clear we don’t want that, how do we make life more enjoyable? It is different for everyone, but I can give you a few tips to start seeing your life through a new lens.
ahhh hello guys! In case you may have missed my introduction my name is Haylee, I’m 16 years old, and I’m from Virginia. Writing has always been something I loved doing so when Ximena opened up her blog applications I just knew I had to apply!
I decided that since this is my first post and the new year is finally upon us I wanted to dedicate my first post to 2021! No doubt 2020 was rough, actually it was extremely rough, but there’s no time for feeling sorry for yourself anymore and we have to work hard at our goals to make sure our future is even better! So, without any further ado, I bring to you “Steps to Build a Successful Lifestyle” <3
